Your Guide to Sanctuary Notes

This page will always be here for you. Bookmark it so you can find it anytime.

How to Log In

  1. Open your web browser and go to thesoulthreshold.com/manage/
  2. Click the Log In button in the center of the page.
  3. A small window will appear. Enter your email address and password, then click Log in.
  4. Once you're logged in, you'll see your list of Sanctuary Notes.
Forgot your password? On the login window, click "Forgot password?" and enter your email (debi.soulthreshold@gmail.com). You'll get a link to reset it.
Login button not showing up? Try refreshing the page. If that doesn't work, try using Google Chrome — it works the most reliably.

How to Write a New Note

  1. From your notes list, click the + Write a New Note button at the top.
  2. The Note Number and Date will be filled in for you automatically. You can change them if you want.
  3. Type a Title — keep it short and poetic, 3 to 6 words.
  4. Choose which Section this note belongs to. If you're not sure, "The Stirring" is a great starting place.
  5. Write your reflection in the Your Reflection box. Just write naturally. You can use the small buttons above the box to make text bold or italic if you want, but you don't have to.
  6. If you'd like, add a Closing Line — a quiet sentence that echoes the heart of your note. This is optional.
  7. Click Save & Publish at the bottom.
  8. You'll see a message that says "Your note is live!" — and it is. It's on your website now.
Good to know: After you save, it may take a minute or two for the note to show up on your actual website. This is normal — your site is rebuilding in the background.

How to Edit a Note

  1. From your notes list, find the note you want to change.
  2. Click the Edit button next to it.
  3. Make your changes — fix a word, add a sentence, whatever you need.
  4. Click Save & Publish to save your changes.
Don't worry about breaking anything. You can always edit again if something doesn't look right.

How to Delete a Note

  1. From your notes list, find the note you want to remove.
  2. Click the Delete button next to it.
  3. A window will ask if you're sure. Click Yes, Delete to confirm, or Never Mind to cancel.
Be careful: Once a note is deleted, it can't be brought back. If you're unsure, it might be better to edit it instead.

What Each Field Means

Sending Emails to Your List

The admin now has two tabs at the top: Sanctuary Notes and Emails. Click Emails to write and send a newsletter to your subscribers.

How to write and send an email

  1. Click the Emails tab at the top.
  2. Click + Write a New Email.
  3. Type a Subject Line — this is what people see in their inbox before they open it.
  4. Write your email in the Email Body box. You can use the same formatting buttons (B, I, H, ", List) as you do for notes.
  5. Want to include a Sanctuary Note in the email? Click + Insert a Sanctuary Note. Pick one from the list and it'll be added to your email with a link back to the full note on your site.
  6. Click Show Preview to see how it will look.
  7. Before sending to everyone, click Send Test to Me — this sends only to your email address so you can check it in your own inbox first.
  8. When you're happy, click Send to Subscribers. It asks you to confirm, then the email goes out immediately.

Save Draft saves your email without sending. You can come back and finish it later — it'll appear in your Emails list marked "Draft".

Sent emails stay in the list too, so you always have a record of what went out.
